Kuebler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willibald Kuebler of South Easton, died at the Easton Hospital from strangulated hernia. His age was 21 years. He was admitted to the hospital Jan 30 and underwent an operation from which he failed to improve. The young man was employed by his father, Willibald Kuebler, while the latter was proprietor of the Center Square Cafe in Easton. About a year or so ago he underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Easton Hospital. The ailment which caused his death is supposed to have resulted from the previous complaint. He is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Leon Wirth, Albert, Rose, Carrie and Frank Kuebler, all of Easton, and Mrs. Harry Hall, Williamsport. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Bartenders' Union, Jacksonian Democratic Association and the Concordia Maennerchor. |

He had been ill about four months. A native of Easton and a World War I veteran, McCarthy had been employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co., for the last 30 years. He was a supervisor in the No. 2 hearth of the Saucon Division. McCarthy played tackle on the Red Rover football team shortly before the outbreak of World War I, and captained the Lehigh football team in 1931. He was a member of the Bethlehem Steel Club, the Saucon Club, Brown and Lynch American Legion of Easton, the 40 et 8, Easton Elks Club, Delta Upsilon Fraternity and SS.
