Mrs. Mary Fell Kauffman, 77, widow of Joseph Kauffman, died Sunday at her home at Meyers Crossing, near Bangor, where she had lived for forty years. She resided in the vicinity of Bangor all her life. She was a member of Faith Primitive Methodist church, Bangor.
She is survived by the following children: Jacob, of Boothwin; Edward of Easton; Roland, at home, and Mrs. George Hawk, of Meyers Crossing; also by thirteen grandchildren, and a brother, Joseph Fell, of North Bangor.
Interment will be made in the North Bangor cemetery. |

Obituary | 12 July 1907 | 12 July 1907, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Morning Call Obituary:. William Fell, aged 18 years, met instant death by being struck by a Lehigh Valley passenger train in the Phillipsburg yard at 6.05 o'clock Wednesday evening. The young man was employed at the Tippett and Wood boiler works, Phillipsburg, and boarded a coal train to go to a point near the South Main street Lehigh Valley bridge, which is near his home. As he jumped from the coal train, the west-bound passenger train, due in Phillipsburg at 6.09, struck him and hurled his body back against the coal train. One leg was nearly severed, his skull fractured and other injuries sustained.
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fell, Sr., at Shimer's on South Main street, Phillipsburg. Besides his parents, the deceased is survivied by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Kate Shoemaker and Charles Fell, of Newark, and Miss Ella Fell, of Delaware Water Gap. |

He had been in poor health for the past year and was admitted to the hospital on August 24.
He is survived by his widow, a sister Mrs. Mary Glessner of Jersey City, and three brothers, Frank and Daniel of Easton, and Seth of Wilson borough. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. |

Bethel township, near Richmond, at 5:15 Monday morning, aged 69 years, after being ill for a number of years with a complication of ailments, and being bedfast for the past sixteen weeks.
Mr. Fell was a farmer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania all his life. He was a member of Christ Lutheran church, Stone Church, and of Hope lodge, No. 97, Jr. O.U.A.M., of Hope, N.J.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Horn Fell, a son, J. Andress Fell, of Easton; a daughter, Mrs. Charles VanVorst, Mt. Bethel, six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Brands, of Portland, and Mrs. Laura Ayers, of Chicago, Ill.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. standard time, at his late home, in charge of Rev. Samuel Kistler, pastor of Christ Lutheran church and interment will be made in the Union cemetery, Stone Church. |
