Mrs. Georgia Marion (Parsons) Peckham, 74, wife of the Cranston Board of Canvassers chairman, Earl H. Peckham of 180 Park Ave., Cranston, died yesterday after a long illness. She had lived in the city for 45 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edwin L. and Jessie (Tanner) Parsons.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Esmond E. Peckham of Jackson Heights, N.Y. and Milton H. of Norwalk, Conn., two sisters, Mrs. Alice Coburn of Cranston, and Mrs. Ida Littlewood of Barrington; a brother, Edwin Parsons of Providence; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Peckham will be held in the chapel of the Butterfield Funeral Home, 500 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Island Cemetery, Newport. |
