Rowayton Beach Club, Long Island Sound, Darien, CT. As a child, Nana and Grandpa Chet took us here when we visited in the summer in the 1950's. Auntie Molly taught me to swim here. I remember the grey-painted wooden floors of the bathhouse where we changed, with a certain paint smell. We climbed up from the beach to these rocks, looking for creatures in the pools. Here are the young folks in the 1940's -- my mother and her brothers, my father's sisters, and various friends.
