Note | I have seen her surname listed as Painter or Bender in online trees.
Family History | Some online trees list her name as Bender, or Painter. German pronunciation of the two would be very similar. In the Upper Mount Bethel Lutheran Church records, in 1778 there is a Christian Bender and his wife Christina, acting as sponsors for Samuel Pfeifer and his wife Anna Christina's daughter Christina. That baptism was 17 Sep 1778. 17 Mar 1777, Christian Bender and wife Christina had Anna Margaretha, sponsors Elias Schneider and wife Anna Maria. On 8 Nov 1778, there was another baptism, of Elisabetha Schmidt, daughter of Heinrich and Maria Catharina Schmidt. Elisabetha Benderin, single, is one of the sponsors. Granted that the names were common in the community, but Elizabeth Fell did name two of her children Christian and Christina.
