Devoted Husband, Father, Son and Brother Lew Seiple Jr. of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, passed away on January 8th, 2013. Born: in South Side Easton, he was the son of the late Lewis, Sr. and Catherine Doris Christian Seiple. Personal: He had just turned 83 on December 26th. He was a lifetime resident of the Phillipsburg area. Lew was a 1948 Graduate of Phillipsburg High School and served in the Navy after high school, serving on the SS Quillback Sub out of Groton, Connecticut. He was the first independent proprietor of the Rose Hill Service Station in Lopatcong Twp. He then worked for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission until 1961. Lew then entered a new career with Jersey Central Power & Light's Phillipsburg office where he ended his career as Senior Meter Reader Collector with an early retirement in 1987. In addition to his career, he was a devoted family man, building his own house and building a great life for his family. In addition, he served for years as a volunteer for the Delaware Park Firehouse bingos. Lew was the perfect role model for what a man should be. He was a loving and supportive son to his parents and a devoted brother to his little sister. His family's needs always came first. He was a great provider, both financially and emotionally. The love of his life, Marie and his son's, Jimmy and Tommy were his world - and his reason to live. He proved this daily. Memberships: He was a former member and Deacon at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg. He was also a social member of the West Easton Fire House and was a member of Church of the Assumption in Morristown, NJ. Survivors: He is survived by his loving son, Thomas Jess Seiple of Morristown, NJ; and his sister-in-laws, Pat Wirebach of Phillipsburg and Mary Louise Panovec; and brother-in-law, Gary Panovec of Palmer Twp., PA; and many nieces and nephews who adored him. He was recently predeceased by his loving wife, the former Marie Coyle. He is also predeceased by his son, James L. Seiple; and his sister, JoAnn Seiple. Services: will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Pkwy; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A visitation of family and friends will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery; Phillipsburg, NJ.
