On or about September 12, 1846, another cemetery was opened in the immediate vicinity, in which that of Olive, the wife of Thomas Crane, was among the first interments." (p. 519)
According to the Evergreen Cemetery website , the bodies which were interred in those early burying grounds were moved to either Evergreen, founded in 1863, or Lakeview, where the James Crane family stone is located.2 |

I surmise that James was working with the traveling circus of his uncles, Gerard and Thaddeus. |
