She was the wife of Charles W. Kleinle. They were married 53 years in November. A secretary, she was last employed by Northampton Community College. Before that she worked for the Northampton County Courthouse, Fuller Paper Co., Palmer Township and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Easton. Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Frantz) Sandt. She was a member, quilter and Sunday and Bible School teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Easton. She also formerly led the church's Brownie and Girl Scout troops. She was secretary of the Easton High School Class of 1936. Survivors: Husband daughter, Elsiann Fluck of Norman, Okla. daughter, Cheryl, wife of Gregory Moyer of Bethlehem Twp brothers Henry and Arthur, both of Easton, brother Roland of Palmer Township Sister Mrs. Janet Sandt, of Palmer Township and two grandchildren. |

Charles was born in Easton, PA on November 26, 1951, a son of the late Charles J. & Florence E. (Kiefer) Bilder. Charles who was born with Down Syndrome, during a time when life expectations were limited, but with the love of a caring family he lived a long fulfilling life. He attended the Kurtz training center, enjoyed bowling in various bowling leagues, watching TV, coloring, reading, football, baseball and was an avid Eagles fan. He was a member of Bethel Bible Church of Mt. Zion in Martins Creek, PA Charles is survived by two nieces; Cindy Frederick Kriel, & Jennifer Frederick Bichler; two nephews Larry Kreil, & Clyde " Beaver" Frederick, brother-in-law Donald Ackerman; and great-nieces & nephews Amanda, Heather, Lisa, Brian, James, & Jacob. He was preceded in death by a brother Carl Kreil, and a sister Lois Kriel Frederick. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James J. Bethel Twp., PA, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at her residence. Lois was born in Palmer Twp., PA, on Jan. 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Carl E. and Florence (Kiefer) Kriel. She was the widow of William Frederick, who passed in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Frederick, who passed away in 1973. She was a 1956 graduate of Wilson High School. Lois was the first curater of the Hunter Martin Museum in Martins Creek. She enjoyed volunteering at the schools with her children and grandchildren and teaching about the Civil War. Lois was a member of the Bethel Bible Church of Mt. Zion, Martins Creek, PA., where she enjoyed attending the ladies' Bible study. Lois is survived by her companion of 20 years, Donald R. Ackerman; two daughters, Cindy Kriel and Jennifer Bichler; a son, Clyde "Beaver" Frederick, husband of Lucy; a brother, Charles Bilder; four grandchildren, Amanda and her finance, Anderson, Brian, James and Jacob, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Kriel. Funeral services will be held at the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, 6602 Alpha Ave., Martins Creek, PA, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 12, with Pastor Rick Tunis officiating. Mrs. Kiefer was born in Williams township, a daughter of Benjamin and Elmira Steckel Raub, and resided in Williams and Palmer townships all her life. During recent years she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Carl E. Kreil, near Power House Crossing, Bushkill Park. For many years she had been a sufferer from asthma and had been seriously ill since Thursday morning. Her husband died 14 years ago. She is survived by one son, Arthur F. Keifer of Phillipsburg, and three daughters, Mrs. William Benn, Bethlehem township, Easton R.3; Mrs. Earl M. Beers, Palmer township and Mrs. Carl E. Kreil, with whom she resided. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Raub; one brother, Victor Raub of Williams township, 17 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, Williams township. |
