Daughter | Elizabeth Klemm (b. 1743, d. 1750) |
Daughter | Susannah Klemm+ (b. before 1746, d. before 1793) |
Research Note | This Frederick Klemm probably lived from about 1720 to about 1745. He had at least 4 children before he died, and his wife remarried in 1746. There was a Moravian named John Gottlob Klemm (1690 - 1762, born in Saxony, who got to know Zinzendorf and moved near Herrnhut to repair an organ for him, and emigrated with the Schwenkfelders to Penna. After his wife died he lived in Nazareth, built an organ for the chapel. | |
Marriage | about 1740 | Frederick Klemm and Susannah Catherine House were married about 1740 May have been married in Philadelphia. |
Death | about 1745 | He died about 1745 in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, His son Benjamin, born 1745, was termed "posthumous son" so he most likely died in 1745. His wife Susannah was noted in the Moravian Records as coming to Bethlehem in 1744. So it is most likely that he came at the same time, and died there. A Frederick Klemm was buried in the American Mechanics Cemetery in Philadelphia. But the cemetery was founded in the mid-19th century, so probably not the same man. Defunct now, built over in 1951, Chester County Hist. Soc. has the records. |
