Luther Freimuth of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Byram, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Union Cemetery. Mrs. Guernsey was born in Byram, the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Schmehl Doll. She was a graduate of Greenwich High School and the Danbury Teachers' College, and had taught in the local school system for 41 years. Mrs. Guernsey retired five years ago as teacher of the sixth grade at the Hamilton Ave. School. She also taught in Byram Elementary school. Her affiliations included the Greenwich Teachers Assn. and the State Teachers Assn. Surviving are her husband, Walter; a sister, Mrs. Carl Summerfield of Byram; and a brother, Harry Doll of Pompano Beach, Fla. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m."4 |
