Sweet & Son Mortuary Chapel for Mrs. Frances V. Powell, 47, of Elk Creek who died July 19 of cancer. Mass will be held at St. Monica's Catholic church at 10 am Saturday with burial following in the Maxwell Cemetery. Mrs. Powell was born in Chico on Oct 22, 1918. She lived in Marysville for 13 years and moved to Elk Creek approximately 8 months ago. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Carroll Miller of Sacramento, Miss Kay Powell of Sacramento, and Miss Deborah Powell of Elk Creek, her mother Mrs. Mable Murray of Meridian, a sister Mrs. Laura Spence of Willows, 4 brothers, John Troughton, Walter Troughton and Jack Troughton of Williams, and Edward Troughton of Redding, and two grandchildren. |
