Obituary | 21 April 2012 | 21 April 2012, Obituary:. Philip A. Wall, 89, of East Hartford, husband of the late Margaret “Midge” (Yellen) Wall, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at Manchester Manor. Born July 28, 1922 in Muncie, Kansas, son of the late Philip and Pearl (Eckstine) Wall he had lived in East Hartford for the past 62 years. Prior to his retirement he was an engineer at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over 30 years. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy during World War 2. He is survived by a son William P. Wall of Thailand, a daughter Nancy M .Wall and her husband John Frechette of East Hartford, 5 grandchildren Heather M. Bencher, Nicole K. and Ernest Reichle, Jessica W. and Brendan Claflin, Stephanie W. and Jonathan Fortin, Pamela T. and her fiancé Matthew McCarthy, 3 great grandson; Spencer P. Reichle, Cooper J. Reichle, Tucker M. Fortin, 2 sisters-in-law Kathryn Yellen, Jeanne Yellen, a brother-in-law John E. Morgan and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Glastonbury Visiting Nurses and the East wing at Manchester Manor for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 28 at 10am in St. Rose Church, 33 Church St., East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday April 27, from 5-8pm.
