Genealogy of the Families of John Rockwell, of Stamford, Connecticut 1641, and Ralph Keeler, of Hartford, Connecticut 1939, by W. F. Jones, 1903 (available on books.google.com) p. 152, lists a Sarah Jane Keeler, id # 1526g, the 7th child of Isaac and Mary (Palmer) Keeler of Norwalk and Albany, NY, and says she married Charles Webb. Other children of that family also had Fairfield County connections. Her sister married a Morrell, and a brother married a Ford and they resided in Stamford and Greenwich. Another brother married a Raymond from Stamford, and they resided in Norwalk. This seems to be the correct Sarah J. |

Sally\Sarah Wilson
F, #7425, b. 1791, d. 6 July 1847
Parents
Family: Bush Mead (b. 4 August 1786, d. 13 January 1860)
Biography
Birth | 1791 | SallySarah Wilson was born in 1791. A church membership record towards the end of her life lists her as the daughter of Nehemiah Wilson. No other documentation to verify that. |
Marriage | 9 April 1811 | Bush Mead and she were married on 9 April 1811 at Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut,1 |
Church Affiliation | 2 July 1843 | As of 2 July 1843, SallySarah was affiliated with Second Congregational Church, in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Listed in the Membership lists as Sally Mead, wife of Bush Mead, daughter of Nehemiah Wilson.
This record conflicts with the possibility that Nehemiah Wilson, Jr. could be the father of Sarah (Wilson) Mead, wife of Selah. Nehemiah, Jr. could not have two daughters named Sarah who grew to adulthood.
In the 1790 census, Matthew Mead lives very near the Wilsons, and in 1800, both Matthew and Justus B. Mead live very near the Wilsons.
On Findagrave, her Putnam Cemetery burial record says Sarah, as does "Greenwich Connecticut Epitaphs" by Francis Spies.
Another point is that the Averys, the Benjamin Wilsons, and Sarah (Wilson) Mead, wife of Selah, were Methodists. |
Death | 6 July 1847 | She died on 6 July 1847 |
Burial | 8 July 1847 | She was buried on 8 July 1847 at Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Inscription from the Hale Collection, says age 56 yrs.2 |
