Birth	about 1650	Richard Pittenger was born about 1650 in Scotland. The Pittenger Family in America author believes the family originated in Nottinghamshire. But whether Scotland or England, they appear to have emigrated first to Leyden with the Puritan community.¹
Immigration	29 July 1665	He immigrated on 29 July 1665 to New York City, New York County, New York, from Holland on the ship "Phillip".²
Relocation	1665	In 1665, Richard Pittenger moved to New Jersey where he was allotted 269 acres.²
